Over the last decade we picked up a hobby: carpentry.
It started from constraint and need, not only passion. We wanted furniture that fit us exactly, but what we found in stores never fit the space, the dimensions, or what we had pictured. We tried approaching carpenters, and found the process could be cumbersome, expensive, and not well suited to someone still working out what they want.
So we started building ourselves. We drove to timber yards, tied beams to the car roof, sanded, painted, sawed, built, took apart and built again. Eventually we got the results we wanted.
That process, which we never expected to go through, made one thing clear: people want precise solutions made by carpenters, through a simple and accessible process. The goal is not to replace the carpenter, but to make the path to one simpler.
Baniti was born there.
We let you take a piece you saw online, at a friend, or in your imagination, adapt it to your dimensions, style and space, and turn it into a real product made for you.
Our vision is to let anyone design the furniture they want and receive it at home easily, without the friction that usually comes with custom design and manufacturing.
